Back to newsYear 1 visit Bokrijk
On Tuesday 8th May Year 1 visited Bokrijk as part of the IPC topic ‘The Things People Do.’ We learnt about how bread was made 200 years ago and then had the opportunity to make our own bread. We included lots of yummy fillings and then sculpted the dough into snails, faces and even a rose! We were treated to a guided tour of the open air museum and observed the materials and techniques that were used to build houses in the past. We thought that schools built 200 years ago look a lot different to ours. We all had a lovely day and the best bit was eating our bread when we returned to school!
