ISF announces new organisation structure
The International School of Flanders (ISF) Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Belinda Yates as the ‘Executive Head of International School of Flanders’. Belinda will have full operational supervisory responsibility for the two ISF international schools in Waterloo and Tervuren, as well as the ISF International Daycare business.
Belinda remains Head of School at ISF Waterloo, but in recognition of her new and greater responsibilities, Cobus Steyn has been appointed as the Deputy Head of ISF Waterloo.
The Executive Head of International School of Flanders is responsible for shaping and developing the ISF strategic vision of "One school, two campuses" and for the two creche operations that work alongside the respective nursery and pre-school sections of our international schools.
As Executive Head, Belinda leads a single ISF Leadership Team comprising:
-
Orla McLoughlin - Head of ISF Tervuren
-
Caroline Gill - Deputy Head at ISF Tervuren
-
Cobus Steyn - Head of Secondary & Deputy Head at ISF Waterloo
-
Arancha Barrasa - Head of Primary at ISF Waterloo
Belinda is further assisted in her role by Kaisa Sorjonen, ISF Group DIrector of Administration & Finance, and by Rianne Buist, founder-owner of Rainbows Daycare vzw in Antwerp and Director-Manager of ISF International Daycare vzw.
Belinda Yates says:
‘l truly believe in ISF, our staff across all ISF entities work tirelessly to ensure that the children are educated in a positive, inclusive, academically stimulating and caring environment. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to lead our exceptional ISF team in all its future endeavours and will continue to strive for excellence for all of our children.’
ISF has come a long way since we launched our first international school in Waterloo over five years ago, and Belinda has been the driving force in implementing our strategic vision. She inspires her colleagues with her energy, professional focus, and ready good humour, and has been an outstanding ambassador for ISF within the international communities of Brussels and Flanders.
Belinda has built a really great team of leaders, during a period of accelerated growth and change for ISF. As the ISF board contemplates the future, noting the many new challenges and opportunities facing international schools in Belgium, Belinda is the natural and obvious person around whom to build a common focus for all our educational businesses to help them grow stronger and better together.
